Future FocusED is a two-day immersive conference on expanding the nature of school, and it was a sub-brand of Beaver Country Day School for two consecutive years. In 2023, the inaugural Future FocusED had more than 200 attendees from various public, charter, and independent schools, along with an array of nonprofits and foundations nationwide and globally; the 2024 conference had more than 250 attendees.

As the brand creative director for Future FocusED—and one of five individuals tasked with creating this brand and conference from scratch—my responsibilities were vast and multifaceted. Beyond simply the creative, I actively participated in the conference's planning and execution, coordinating with various stakeholders to ensure seamless logistics and operations.  


The Brand
I developed Future FocusEd's brand identity, including the logo, color palette, and typography, crafting a compelling brand narrative that resonated with the conference's mission and values.
 

Outreach and Communication Strategy

I developed and implemented a comprehensive plan to attract attendees and market the conference—from scratch! This included compelling emails, a communication strategy, promotional materials, partnerships, and media relations. The strategy attracted diverse attendees, resulting in a well-attended and positively received conference in 2023 and 2024.

The Materials

I designed and developed the conference website, ensuring a visually engaging and user-friendly experience, while also creating a comprehensive suite of design assets, including brochures, posters, and social media graphics, ensuring consistent branding across all channels.

In addition, I conceived and implemented interactive features to enhance attendee engagement and developed innovative exhibits, swag, and materials that aligned with the conference's theme—creating a cohesive and immersive visual experience that reflected the conference's vision.
